Dear members and board members of the ATL Foundation,

I want to thank all of you for your support to me during this time. As I told you, I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma the beginning of July 2010.  I knew I wasn’t feeling well, but thought I had an abdominal strain. As it turns out, I required major surgery and have completed 4 of 6 chemotherapy sessions. Of course, this has impacted my ability to work for now, but I am gaining strength. A friend brought me your application paperwork when I was in the hospital the first time, for 22 days, and a second time for 4 days for a blood clot.   Your decision to help me at this time is tremendously useful and needed. I thank you for your work on the behalf of anyone in need who meets your criteria. Since I spoke to you, I have had a PET scan which came back with no evidence of malignancy, so I am thrilled to say the least. I have 2 more chemo sessions to complete and then periodic PET scans for some time to come, if all continues to go well.  Again, I thank you so much for your efforts and your support. None of us ever know when we may need others to help out and lift our spirits.

Dear ATL,
I just wanted to thank you for the money that was donated to me by the ATL Foundation; that was so nice of everyone. I am in a full leg cast, as my knee was crushed and I had to have surgery. I will be off work for some time, but I’m expected to get the cast off in the next few weeks, but then therapy to get my leg working again. Thank you so much as this is a miracle from you. I will keep in touch for the progress. God Bless you always.

Dear ATL Foundation,
I am in receipt of the $1,000 check you have so generously sent me. I can’t tell you what a relief it is to me to be able to meet expenses and not fall deeper into debt. It’s looking now like I’ll have to go back on weekly chemo treatments that add $120.00 per month to my expenses. So you can see how timely your gift is. I’ve also purchased a cane, which has been highly recommended. I’ve become more and more appreciative of the words “thank you”, and I send them to your with a full measure of their worth.
