It's Not Too Late to Support Cricket as she supports the ATL Foundation (click here)

Loyal Supporters,

As many of you know, I am participating in the Ride for the Rockies event again this year! Even though this is not a fund raising event, with your support I'd like to help others by raising money and donating the proceeds to a non-profit each year. Last year we donated $3,800 to Mary Clanahan for her cancer recovery. This year all proceeds donated will go to the ATL Foundation!

The Ride The Rockies Tour (ie: RTR shall be called "The Rainbow Ride") is 419 miles ride over seven days, but always climbs a few challenging mountain passes (Cumbres Pass, 10,022,  La Manga Pass, 10.230 & Poncha Pass, 9,020) with elevation gains ranging from 1600 feet to 4300 feet and showcases Colorado's spectacular scenery. Daily rides can be as short as 35 miles or as long as 100 miles, but generally average 60-65 miles (This year 69.83 mile daily avg but who's counting!). The route starts June 18 to June 23, 2006 from Cortez to Canon City, Colorado. Follow me along The Rainbow Ride at www.ridetherockies.com, with updates on the ATL Foundation website and encourage women in need to live with dignity!

Sincerely,

Cricket

The ATL Foundation was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation in 1994 by a group of friends who wished to support a member of their informal bicycling group who was diagnosed with lung cancer.  The name All Terrain Lesbians Foundation, is fitting since any of us can find ourselves on uneven roads with difficult life challenges.

The ATL Foundation provides assistance to women in need of financial help as a result of ill heath or personal crisis.

The ATL Foundation Board consists of volunteers who are responsible for reviewing requests for assistance, organizing various fund raising activities and managing the funds raised. There are NO paid members or office overhead. Therefore,  all of the funds raised go directly to women in need. This means when you donate to this cause you can rest assured your money is used as you expect. No money is used for administration or overhead.
